This study examined the efficacy of the Higher Education Commission's (HEC) research policy in fostering academic career advancement and progress through a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. A poll conducted among faculty members from several higher education institutions yielded quantifiable data regarding their perceptions of the HEC's policy, career advancement, publication records, and research funding. Comprehensive qualitative interviews provided valuable insights into individuals' personal experiences and the difficulties they encountered. Analyzed secondary data from HEC records and institutional reports to identify links between policy changes and career outcomes. The results indicated overall contentment with the policy, notable effects on research output and professional growth, while also emphasizing difficulties associated with funding and administrative obstacles. Suggested enhancements encompass augmenting research funds, streamlining procedures, and offering specialized assistance to junior and less established academic members. These initiatives are intended to improve the overall effectiveness of the strategy and further encourage the growth of academic careers.
