Abstract

When doing educational research, researchers must adhere to important moral and legal guidelines as well as safeguard study participants' rights. Research is undoubtedly an honest endeavor. The legal and ethical aspects of data protection, in particular, have a significant impact on how research data is gathered, used, shared, and preserved. PhD candidates must adhere to the ethical standards established by the intellectual community; in this situation, the American Psychological Association (APA) is the pertinent entity. To ensure that everyone involved takes part in their research, researchers must understand and abide by these legal and ethical constraints. The purpose of this study is to assess PhD researchers' comprehension of the legal and ethical and guidance on how these should be appliedto their particular research projects.
