Abstract

This manuscript endeavours to examine the characteristics that influences the employee’s intention to leave the organisation in the setting of garment retailing staff working in textile showrooms in Coimbatore district. With descriptive research design the study 381 garment retailing staff working in textile showrooms in Coimbatore. Simple random sampling method deployed. The study's secondary data were gathered utilising research papers from previous studies, journals, websites, etc., while its primary data were collected using a standardised questionnaire. Stepwise regression, factor analysis, and basic percentage analysis are deployed in data analysis. According to the inference, the four family types, along with the eight variables (1) conflict in work, (2) Conflict in Work and Family, (3) Employment status of Spouse and (4) Work Family conflict (5) Joint or nuclear nature of family (6) Income level of family (7) Marital status (8) Level of education amounted to 38.3%. The results of multiple regression R 2 is 38.60%. 0.30 percent difference owes to the influence of other factors
